The Monetary System of the world is nothing more than a game. It has little basis in reality. It emerged thousands of years ago when scarcity of resources was an everyday problem. People back then needed some way to distribute goods and services, while compensating those who worked to create them. This Monetary based Labor System has been a staple of society for so long, that most people can’t even imagine a world without it. Regardless, the mechanisms of the system, both structurally and psychologically, have created dramatic problems for the whole of society, ranging from monetary crime and emotional distortion, to the abuse and exploitation of the planet and each other on vast scales. The world today is really just a series of tribalistic Mafias. The line between organized crime and traditional business is really nonexistent. In turn, the whole world stands at odds with itself, with individuals, businesses and countries perpetually working to defend what they have, while always working to gain more, often by force and corruption. In turn, now the whole world is in debt to itself, owing comical amounts of money, while the very integrity of the world financial structure is on the verge of collapse due to its own shortcomings.
However, even with these points denoted, there stands an even more powerful, unforeseen force which guarantees the demise of the Economic system as we know it for good, and it comes in the form of Technological Unemployment. Human beings are being replaced by advanced automation technologies at an accelerating rate, setting up a disaster of unprecedented proportions, for if people do not have jobs, they cannot support the economy by purchasing anything. This reality is the final proof that our current system is now out of date, and if we want to deter riots in the streets and poverty on a scale never before seen, we are going to have to revise our traditionalized notions about how society functions at the fundamental level.
We require a new social system that is updated to present-day knowledge and modern methods.

Why a shorter working week can help us all to flourish in the 21st century A ‘normal’ working week of 21 hours could help to address a range of urgent, interlinked problems: overwork, unemployment, over-consumption, high carbon emissions, low well-being, entrenched inequalities, and the lack of time to live sustainably, to care for each other, and simply to enjoy life.

To conclude, it is important to note that climate change is almost always represented as bad news, except among skeptics who argue that a warmer world may be more beneficial for human beings than a cold world. However, climate change may also be good news: Never before in human history has there been such strong evidence that we live in an interconnected world, where actions taken in one place have consequences in another. The notion of winners and losers, which has been a driving force for competition among individuals and between groups and states, becomes an illusion as the process of climate change accelerates. Inequality and injustices that have persisted throughout history must be confronted in order to address climate change, and there is now a window of opportunity to recognize that human well-being and human security are really about the connections and relationships among different perspectives. In other words, climate change forces us to realize that the “I, we, and it(s)” are in this together.
The environment movement stands at a crossroads. We can carry on trying to help achieve what is possible, taking slow progress in policy and behaviour change as largely immovable features of the context in which we operate. Or we can begin to inject new urgency into the environmental debate – urgency that will necessarily demand that we move far further than the ‘business case for sustainable development’ will take us; recognising that environmental challenges will not be met while maintaining a narrow focus on the happy coincidence of economic self-interest and environmental prudence.
The Death of Environmentalism Global Warming Politics in a Post-Environmental World By Michael Shellenberger and Ted Nordhaus
The environmental community’s narrow defi nition of its self-interest leads to a kind of policy literalism that undermines its power. When you look at the long string of global warming defeats under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, it is hard not to conclude that the environmental movement’s approach to problems and policies hasn’t worked particularly well. And yet there is nothing about the behavior of environmental groups, and nothing in our interviews with environmental leaders, that indicates that we as a community are ready to think differently about our work.
By investigating the linkages between environmental knowledge, attitudes and behaviours and personal well-being this report reveals some ways in which the goals of sustainability and improving personal well-being can be allied.

Self-organization is clearly relevant to biology, chemistry, Earth science, economics and other sciences that have to deal with big and complicated issues. This paper shows that self-organization also has a great deal to do with fundamental physics, including quantum mechanics, relativity, quantum gravity and cosmology.
This paper also aims to give some insight into what self-organization means and discusses questions such as the kinds of methods that can be used to understand selforganization and how self-organization relates to other modes of explanation such as reductionism.
